The following are the terms and conditions that form part of your contract with us when you book. Please ensure you have read them before you make a booking with us.
Thank you for choosing to book with Jaret House Bed and Breakfast. We look forward to welcoming you to our home. Once this reservation has been confirmed you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below, which by booking you are deemed to have accepted.
Payment Details. For all bookings we require a deposit of 20% of the total bill to confirm the booking. You must make sure that this reaches us within 7 days of making the booking. We will contact you as soon as we can to arrange the payment of the deposit or confirm it’s arrival. The balance is due on departure.
We accept credit cards and cheques with valid bankers card for deposits and final payments.
IN ORDER TO BOOK A ROOM HERE YOU ARE REQUIRED TO ENTER VALID CREDIT CARD DETAILS. HOWEVER WE WILL CONTACT YOU BY PHONE OR EMAIL TO CONFIRM YOUR REQUEST AND FOR YOUR PERMISSION TO TAKE THE DEPOSIT.
Prices
The price includes accommodation and our excellent breakfast. Unless clearly stated on the booking form all extras such as additional meals, telephone, newspapers etc are additional. We accept the following forms of payment: cash, cheque with bankers card and credit or debit card.
Arrival
Your accommodation is usually available to you from 16.00 hours on the day of arrival. In rare circumstances we may be able to make the room available earlier. Please let us know if you plan to arrive after 19.00 hours.
Pets
Unfortunately we are only a small bed and breakfast so in order to minimise disruption to other guests we do not allow pets.
Cancellation and Insurance
Once you have booked your stay, our agreement is a legal contract and any deposit you may have paid is non-refundable, unless we are able to re-let the room. If you need to cancel please contact us immediately. For cancellations made up to a day before your booking you will not be liable for the total balance. For cancellations made after this time or by failing to take up the booking without cancelling you will be liable for the full amount. For this reason you may wish to take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
Non availability
We would only cancel your booking if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would attempt to offer you alternative accommodation, however if this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.
Departure
Please be ready to leave your accommodation by 10.00 hrs on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. Your bill for the accommodation and any extras or services taken during your stay is payable on departure. Luggage storage on the day of departure may be possible – please ask if you’d like this extra service. If you wish your luggage to be taken on to your next accommodation we may be able to do this for which a fee is payable.
Damages and Breakages
You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur. We do not normally charge for minor breakages, but we may send you an invoice for repair or making good if the damage or breakage is significant, and we may make a reasonable additional charge if you did not report this.
Liability
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.
Data
Any data gathered during the course of this booking may be held on computer. It will only be used for our own marketing purposes and will not be sold or used by anyone else. Please let us know if you don’t wish to receive communication from us in the future
We look forward to welcoming you to Jaret House.
